MSC Sports announces rights to expanded College Football Playoff

Following the decision today by the College Football Playoff Board of Managers to expand the College Football Playoff to 12 teams, MSC Sports announced today they had acquired half of the rights to the new expanded College Football playoff. The MSC network will be guaranteed 5 games, including one semifinal. Every other year MSC will carry the national championship. 

Games will be divided as follows:

First Round (MSC Sports):
12 at 5
11 at 6

Second Round (MSC Sports):

9/8 at 1

10/7 at 2

Semifinals (MSC Sports):

Non primetime semifinal

Games will be split with ESPN. The contract will last for 7 years, the earliest possible start date of expansion will be the 2024 NCAA FBS Regular Season, the latest would be the 2026 NCAA FBS Regular Season. This will be finalized at a later date.
