MSC Sports announces coverage plans for exclusive coverage of 2022 MLB Wild Card Series

MSC Sports announced today the schedule and its coverage plans for its exclusive coverage of the  2022 Wild Card Series presented by Dr. Pepper. The 2022 Wild Card series will be the first MLB Wild Card round to ever feature 8 teams, and the first ever to be exclusively carried by MSC Sports. 

The announcing teams will feature Joe Davis, David Ortiz and Sara Smith, Ryan Rouco, Frank Thomas and Rodrigo Williams, Buck Martinez, Gregg Zaun and Curt Wright, and David Shappel, Ryan Rindwhistle, and Mellissa Villa. Their announcing assignments are listed below.

Sara Lauding, Pedro Martinez, and Dontre Willis, with special insight coming from MLB Insider Devin White, will form the studio team for the entire tournament. They will be live from MSC's newly rebuilt Studio 4A in Long Island, New York.

On Friday, October 7th, from 12PM ET to 5PM ET, Steve Lowhart and Will Schnood will host a special edition of The Ultimate MLB Show, on MSC+2 and MSC Sports Extra. The show will feature special guest appearances from Alex Rodriguez, Dennis Eckersely, Matt Damon and Bill Murray, plus live look-ins to Rays/Guardians, Phillies/Cardinals and Mariners/Blue Jays, offering viewers a more casual option for watching Wild Card Rounds.^^

Shoulder Programming:

To complement its coverage of the MLB Wild Card Round, MSC Sports will air The Ultimate MLB Playoff Preview, on Thursday, October 6th at 7PM on MSC+2, and 10PM on MSC+. Steve Lowhart, Will Schnood and Devin White will provide a full preview of some of the best storylines entering the 2022 MLB Playoffs.
