MSC Sports announces 4 year deal for U.S. Open Cup

MSC Sports and the United States Soccer Federation announced today a landmark four year deal for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. MSC Sports and the USSF worked to form an agreement that would ensure all matches are acessible for fans, and that even lower level teams see strategic gains from the event. 

All first and second round matches will air on MSC Sports Live. MSC Sports will work with USL Teams in Round 2 to ensure that as many matches as possible featuring these teams are cleared on linear television in local markets. Third Round and Round of 32 games involving MLS teams will air on MSC Sports Extra, with select games on MSC+, MSC+2 or MSDN, games not involving these teams will continue to air on MSC Sports Live. MSC will continue to work with MLS and USL teams to ensure that games involving these teams are cleared on linear television in local markets. All round of 16 games will air on MSC Sports Extra, with select games on MSC+, MSC+2 or MSDN. Beginning with the quarterfinals, all games will air on linear television. 

MSC Sports will tap into the MSC Sports Live Accessibility Fund, which ensures that lower level teams are acessible for free through MSC Sports Live, to ensure that all teams have adequate streaming services. Host teams will partner with MSC Sports and USSF to provide a high quality product for MSC Sports Live. MSC Sports will produce all games airing on MSC Sports Extra, and games picked up for linear television in local markets. 

MSC Sports announced their coverage for the second round as well. Commentators are noted. Michell Jones will host halftime coverage for games on MSC Sports Live and local networks. Nora Gomez and David Smith will host studio coverage for later games.

MSC Sports announces 2025 Cincinnati Open coverage plans
