MSC Sport announces exclusive global rights to Ligue 1

MSC Sport revealed today it had reached a three year agreement with Ligue 1, the premier soccer league in France, to become its exclusive broadcast partner globally (excluding China and Saudi Arabia). As part of the agreement, MSC Sports platforms will produce and broadcast every match from Ligue 1 and the Coupe De France. In Europe and Latin America (excluding Spain, the United Kingdom and Mexico), MSC Sports will continue to sublicense select games to linear broadcast partners. Games will air in linear networks and MSC Sports Extra in Europe and Latin America, along with Canada, the United States, India and Australia. In other markets, game will air for free on MSC Sports Live which, for the first time, will present select events globally on the MSC Sports app and live.sports.msc.com.

In France, MSC Sport will launch a new linear network, MSC Sportif. The network will be centered on Ligue 1, but MSC has also reached exclusive agreements with the National Basketball Association, the Australian Open, the U.S. Open and NASCAR to provide additional live sports. Studio programming will be produced in conjunction with Outdoor Sportif in Canada.
