MSC Sports announces 2024-25 NBA coverage plans and October NBA schedule with commentators

MSC Sports revealed today its coverage plans for the 2024-25 NBA season, it's final season covering the NBA for the immediate future. 

Mike Tirico, Mark Jackson and Jeff Van Gundy, with Curt Wright as the courtside reporter return for the second consecutive season as MSC Sports' lead NBA commentary team. In order to allow Mike Tirico to continue his work on the NFL, Ryan Rouco and Jason Benetti will be alternate play-by-play commentators for the lead team. Ryan Rouco will john Chris Webber, and Rodrigo Williams as a courtside reporter for select games, as the #2 team. Jason Benetti and Paul Pierce will form an alternate commentary team during the NFL season. On MSC+2, Chuck Timsfield and Sara Nighthurst or Ryan Quickly and David Filborn will call select games. 

Following the end of the College Football season, MSC Sports will continue to present the #1 NBA regular season show Saturday Night Basketball presented by Mountain Dew. Saturday Night Basketball games will tip-off at 8:30PM and be preceded by NBA Tipoff Live driven by Ford with Sara Lauding, Paul Pierce and Dave Pershfield. Steve Lowhart and Ryan Derkey (joined in select shows by Dave Pershfield) will be featured on The Ultimate NBA Show presented by AllState during weekday afternoons and before MSC+ games and MSC Sunday games.

For the first time during the 2024-25 season, MSC Sports will present NBA Sunday drived by Ford. This unique program will feature games nationally on MSC+ along with regionally on MSC during regional NFL windows (these games are denoted with an asterisk). These regional windows will be targeted to ensure home markets get games on MSC. Select games will air nationally in primetime on MSC after the NFL.

Suns at Clippers, 10PM, MSC+ (Rouco/Webber/Wright)

Sunday, October 27th:
Clippers at Warriors, 8:30PM, MSC+2 (Timsfield/Nighthurst)

Monday, October 28th:
Jazz at Mavericks, 8:30PM, MSC+2 (Quickly/Filborn)

Thursday, October 31st:
Suns at Clippers, 10:30PM, MSC+ (Benetti/Pierce)

Sunday, November 3rd:
Pistons at Nets, 4:30PM, MSC+* (Rouco/Webber and Pierce/Williams)
Hawks at Pelicans, 8PM, MSC+2 (Quickly/Filborn)

MSC Sports announces 2025 WNBA Finals schedule and coverage plans

MSC Sports will present exclusive coverage of the 2025 WNBA Finals Presented by YouTube TV, featuring the Las Vegas Aces and the Phoenix Mercury. The Las Vegas Aces will make their third WNBA Finals appearance in the last four years, looking to capture a third title and join the Houston Comets (4 straight from 1997-00) as the only teams in league history to do so. The Phoenix Mercury returns to the Finals for the first time since 2021, chasing their first championship since 2014.
