MSC Sports announces 2025 Major League Baseball Coverage plans

MSC Sports revealed today its coverage plans for the 2025 Major League Baseball season with games across MSC, MSC+, MSC+2 and MSC Sports Extra.

Joe Davis, David Ortiz and field reporter Sara Smith return as MSC Sports's lead MLB broadcasting team. Ryan Rouco and Frank Thomas will once again serve as MSC's second commentary crew. Jason Benetti will be the lead play-by-play commentator on MLB Sunday Leadoff, which will once again feature two color commentators each week, one focused on each team. New this season, Willy Grier will be a field reporter for every MLB Sunday Leadoff game. Benetti, along with Frank Zaun will also serve as fill-in play-by-play commentators for games on MSC and MSC+, joined by analysts Devin White and Sam Scotty. Rodrigo Williams will serve as a field reporter for select games on MSC and MSC+ as well. David Shappel and Ryan Rindwhistle will be the primary commentary team for west coast games on MSC+2. New this season, Taylor Zarzour will join Scotty to serve the same role for east coast games on MSC+2. 

Cadillac Thursday Night Baseball returns as MSC Sports's primary baseball telecast each weeks. All Thursday Night Baseball games on MSC and select games on MSC+ will be exclusive to MSC Sports. Tuesday Night Baseball presented by AWS will air almost every week. These games will be blacked out in home markets unless otherwise indicated. All MLB Sunday Leadoff presented by Roku games will be exclusive to MSC Sports. All games will stream on MSC Sports Extra, with select games airing on MSC. MSC+2 will generally present one or two games a week, all games will be blacked out in home markets.  For select MSC+2 games, MSC will present an alternate game using a local MSC Sports broadcast. Once a month, MSC will present the McDonalds MLB Game of the Month airing exclusively on MSC.

In the studio, Sara Lauding, Pedro Martinez and Dontrelle Willis return as the team for The Ultimate MLB Show presented by Geico on MSC. The show will air at 7PM ET before every Thursday Night Baseball game on MSC and before select Game of the Month games on MSC. MSC will continue to air The Ultimate MLB Show presented by Degree every weekday on MSC+ and before and after select Tuesday Night Baseball games on MSC+. The show will feature a rotating cast of hosts, including Sara Lauding, David Shappel and Steve Lowhart, and a rotating cast of analysts, including Devin White, Ryan Rindwhistle, Sam Scotty, Pedro Martinez, Frank Thomas, Dontrelle Willis and David Ortiz. Devin White will serve as MSC Sports's MLB insider throughout the season.

MSC also revealed today it will show the Boston Red Sox facing the New York Yankees as part of Cadillac Thursday Night Baseball on Thursday, August 21st on MSC. 

MSC's currently announced schedule, with Spring Training commentators, is below. MSC's full March and April regular season schedule will be announced in the beginning on March.
