MSC Sports to present American Motorsports's Most Marquee Doubleheader
MSC Sports, in partnership with NASCAR and IndyCar, announced today its coverage plans for American motorsports most marquee doubleheader: the Indy 500 and CocaCola 600, on Sunday, May 25th. MSC Sports is proud to announce that because the Indy 500 is a sellout, there will be no local blackout of the race for the second consecutive year. All coverage will air on MSC and stream on MSC Sports Extra
MSC's all day motorsports coverage will begin at 7AM ET with a special edition of This Is What's Trending Now with Dan Smith and Sammantha Smith live from Indianapolis Motorspeedway. The show will feature an exclusive interview with former President Joe Biden, his first one-on-one interview since the end of his Presidency.
Indy 500 coverage begins at 10AM ET with The Ultimate Indianapolis 500 Show presented by Goodyear. Kevin Lee, Nick Sames and James Clinchfille will present the show live from Indianapolis. The same team will present post-race coverage until around 4PM ET. (Coverage will be exactly 30 minutes long if the Indy 500 concludes after 3:35PM ET).
The Indianapolis 500 will begin at 12PM ET. Lap-by-lap commentator Norman Wilson and color commentator Townsend Bell will be joined by pitt reporters Mike Bagley, Sean Murphy and Luck Mittifield. Lee, Sames and Clinchfille will also contribute to coverage.
At 4PM ET, MSC will air The Ultimate NASCAR Show presented by Ally. Dave Turnip, Stephen Welch, Todd Bodine and Nick Sames, live at Charlotte Motor Speedway, will preview the race, and provide additional Indy 500 post race coverage.
The CocaCola 600 will begin at 6PM ET. Lap-by-lap commentator Allen Bestwick will be joined by color commentator Jeff Gordon, alongside pitt reporters Lauren McNight, Michael Waltrip, Liam Johnson and Luck Mittifield.
Luck Mittifield will specifically follow Kyle Larson and his attempt to do the double and race both races.
In the case of a rain delay to the Indy 500 CocaCola 600 coverage will begin at 5PM ET on MSC2. CocaCola 600 coverage will air on MSC until the Indy500 is within 30 minutes of guranteed racing.
