MSC Sports announces expanded agreement with Major League Baseball

MSC Sports today announced a three year expanded agreement with Major League Baseball to expand its agreement with the league, through the 2028 season.

Through the agreement, MSC Sports will gain the exclusive rights to the Home Run Derby beginning with the 2026 edition. The game will air over-the-air on MSC. MSC will hold the rights to present alternate telecasts or simulcasts on MSC+ and MSC+2. MSC Sports will also gain the exclusive rights to select speciality regular season games in addition to its current schedule, featured games include Labor Day, Memorial Day, Little League Classic and MLB at Field of Dreams, along with select international games. On Sunday, July 5th, MSC, MSC+ and MSC Sports Extra will exclusively broadcast every game scheduled for that day. MSC will continue to air an exclusive game in Thursday primetime on Opening Day as the schedule allows.

MSC Sports will additionally license the MLB.tv streaming service through the 2028 season. This agreement will give MSC Sports the in-market television streaming rights to 19 of 29 US based teams. Per the agreement, MLB.tv will exclusively be available through MSC Sports. It can be purchased as a bundle with MSC Sports Extra or will continue to be available by itself. More information about packages and pricing will be announced at a later date. One game per day, which will be focused on the 19 in-market teams, will be broadcast to all MSC Sports Extra subscribers. MSC Sports Extra will also distribute The Ultimate MLB Show featuring live look-ins, with commercial breaks, to subscribers for at least 2.5 hours each day. All games on MLB.tv will be available on this show.

Finally, MSC Sports has acquired the exclusive rights to broadcast the 2026 World Baseball Classic in Canada, Mexico, Spain, France, Australia and the United Kingdom. MSC Sports has also acquired the exclusive streaming rights to the tournament in Japan.
